📝 Description

Primer Cool Coat is a corrosion-resistant primer designed for metal roof surfaces. It works to waterproof and increase the adhesion between the metal surface and the Kera Cool Coat top layer. It is quick-drying and offers excellent adhesion and coverage.

This primer is suitable for a variety of surfaces, including:

• Metal roofs, tile roofs, walls, and terraces
• Factories, schools, hotels, hospitals, stores, and warehouses
• Water storage tanks and oil storage tanks
• Industrial breeding facilities
• Cold storages
• Oil pipelines and insulation pipes

📏 Coverage

• On normal concrete surfaces: 0.15 kg/m²

(Note: Coverage may be reduced by 20-30% or more on surfaces with grooved joints or blocks)

Applying the Product

1. Preparation

• Remove all old paint by sanding or other mechanical methods.
• If rust is present on the metal surface, it must be cleaned and treated with a specialized anti-rust paint before applying Primer Cool Coat.
• Ensure the surface is dry. Do not apply if humidity is > 15%.
• Repair all punctures, open joins, and other defects to ensure the surface is closed.
• If water stagnation occurs, perform drainage or other preparations to remove all accumulated water before coating.

2. Application

• Do not apply when raining, in strong wind, or if the temperature is > 40°C.
• Apply 1 coat to the surface at the recommended coverage rate.
• The application should create a homogeneous and pinhole-free surface.
• If spraying, use a cross-spray pattern.
• Allow the primer to dry completely (minimum 24 hours) before applying the top coat.

📦 Storage & Packaging

• Packaging: Supplied in a 7 kg/pail.
• Storage: Has a 6-month shelf life from its manufacture date. Must be stored correctly in its original packaging, out of sunshine, and at temperatures between 20°C - 40°C.

🧼 Cleaning

• Cured material cannot be removed with water.
• Once cured, the material can only be removed by mechanical preparation.

⚠️ Safety Precautions

• Construction areas must be completely free of flammable substances.
• Do not expose the area to excessive heat, and absolutely no smoking.
• Avoid solution contact with skin and eyes. Wear necessary protective equipment.
• If the solution contacts the skin, clean immediately with water.
• If the solution contacts the eyes, call for a doctor.
